The Role of Faith in Our Lives

“Without faith it is impossible to please YHVH…” (Hebrews 11:6).

A Provocative Challenge; Faith is not a luxury. It is not a Sunday accessory. Faith is the lifeline between humanity and YHVH. Without it, our prayers are empty, our worship hollow, and our obedience lifeless.

The Scriptures remind us: “The just shall live by faith” (Habakkuk 2:4); (Romans 1:17). But do we? Or have we traded faith for comfort, convenience, and the false security of what we can see and control? Faith demands risk. Faith demands trust. Faith requires us to walk where the ground beneath us disappears, where the promises of YHVH are all we cling to. Abraham left his homeland without a map (Genesis 12:1–4). Noah built an ark when there was no rain (Genesis 6:22). The disciples left nets, boats, and families behind to follow Yeshua (Matthew 4:19-20).

What about us?

Faith Is Not Blind; It Is Rooted. The nations mock faith as foolishness, but Scripture says faith is substance: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is rooted in the unshakable promises of Elohim. It is not wishful thinking but covenant trust. Faith sees what the eyes cannot, because it believes what YHVH has already spoken.

To claim faith but ignore His commandments is deception (James 2:17). True faith acts. True faith obeys. True faith endures even when it costs you everything.

Faith Under Fire

Why does YHVH test our faith? Because faith untested is faith unproven. Gold is purified by fire, and so are we (1 Peter 1:7). Every trial, every unanswered prayer, every moment of suffering is a crucible where faith is either proven or abandoned. The question is: when the fire comes, will our faith stand or will it crumble?

Yeshua asked: “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith in the nations?” (Luke 18:8). That question should pierce us. Will he find faith in you? Or will He find excuses, distractions, opinions mixed with half-hearted religion?

Living by Faith

Faith is not static. It is living. It moves us to action. It redefines how we view success, suffering, and eternity. Paul said, “We walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). To live by faith is to live as if YHVH’s Word is the only reality worth trusting. It means loving when the world hates, forgiving when it wounds us, giving when it hurts, and standing when everyone else bows.

Faith is the narrow road. And only a few walk it (Matthew 7:14). The Challenge of faith in your life cannot be casual. It is not enough to believe in Elohim with the lips, even Heyl'el and his fallen malakhim do the same and believe (James 2:19).

Faith must transform how you live, how you love, how you endure, and how you obey.

So I ask you?

Do you trust YHVH enough to obey Him, even when it costs you money, friends, or reputation?

  • Do you believe His promises are enough to rest in Him when everything around you shakes and falls apart?
  • Do you walk by faith, or do you live by sight?
  • Faith is the dividing line between those who only profess Messiah and those who possess Him.

“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.” (2 Corinthians 13:5).
