What Is Salvation?

All are called...

Q. What is Salvation?

A. Salvation is not popular; it requires sacrifice of self, obedience, and surrender to YHVH's will with faith. Salvation is deliverance from the curse of sin, death, judgment, and separation from YHVH. It is a reconciliation to our Av, the Father of Creation, accomplished through the promised Redeemer, Y’shua HaMashiach (יֵשׁוּעַהַמָּשִׁיחַ), whose very name means “YHVH is salvation.”

Salvation is.. is the rescuer of our souls from the curse of sin and death. It's our restoration to fellowship with YHVH. It's a gift, it's not earned by our human hands, but received in faith with Y'shua our Messiah. Y'shua is YHVH's Salvation, prophesied by Moses and the Prophets, and fulfilled in Messiah Y'shua.

1. The Foundation of Salvation in the Old Testament (Tanakh). Salvation comes from YHVH Alone “I, even I, am YHVH, and beside Me there is no savior.” (Isaiah (Yeshayahu) 43:11). From thebeginning, YHVH promised a Redeemer: “AndI will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall crush your head, and you shall strike His heel.” (Genesis(Bere’shith) 3:15).

“When I come down from Shamayim, and become flesh from your seed, and I will dwell on adamah, and for your sake, O Adam, I will suffer.” (1st Book of Adam and Eve, Chapter 14:2). This stunning declaration from YHVH to Adam reveals that HeHimself will send His Word to come in the flesh, be born from Adam’s seed, and suffer on Adam’s behalf, a clear early echo of the incarnation and crucifixion of Y'shua. “And I will make you a promise, for when My Word will be fulfilled. For I will save you and bring you back into the garden, you and your righteous descendants.” (1st Book of Adam and Eve, Chapter 13:11- 12).

This reinforces that salvation is YHVH’s work, and it is tied to His Word being fulfilled again, pointing to Y'shua, the Living Word (John 1:1–14). “OhAdam, as to the tree of life for which you ask, I will not give it to
you now, but when the 5,500 years are fulfilled, then I will give it to you.” (1st Book of Adam and Eve, Chapter 42:5)

This prophetic number (5,500 years) was fulfilled in the time of Messiah would come to reopen the way to eternallife. Y'shua is the symbol of the “tree of life” and YHVH restored it through Y'shua, as seen in (Revelation 22:14).

Y'shua is the“Seed” who would crush the power of Heyl'el, the curse of sin and death. YHVHis My Y'shua (Salvation) “Behold, YHVH is my salvation (יְשׁוּעָתִי); I will trust and not be afraid; for YHVH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.” (Isaiah 12:2). The Hebrew word for salvation is Yahoshua (יְשׁוּעָה). From the same root as Y'shua (יֵשׁוּעַ).

2. Salvation Revealed in the New Testament (Brit Hadashah). The Promise Fulfilled in Y'shua, “She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Yahoshua, for He will save His people from their transgressions.” (Matthew 1:21).

“Therefore, YHVH Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin (עַלְמָהalmah) shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Emmanuel (עִמָּנוּאֵל).”YHVH is with us. (Isaiah 7:14). “Forwhile all things were in quiet silence... Elyon's Word leapt down from shamayim out of Your royal throne, as a fierce man of war into
the midst of a land of destruction.” (Wisdom of Solomon 18:14–15 ).

“Elyon's Word” came down from shamayim consistentwith the idea that His Y’shua (the Word made flesh, John 1:14) entered our realm miraculously. “For My Son the Messiah will be revealed with those who are with Him, and those who remain will rejoice... and He shall complete the order of adamah.”
(2 Esdras 7:28-29).

This passage reveals that YHVH calls the Messiah “My Son,” indicating a divine origin not merely born of man, but revealed supernaturally. “And He will come, and all His holy ones with Him; and He will reveal Himself in joy for the deliverance of His beloved ones.” (2 Baruch 70:9).

Again, the Messiah is revealed, not just born ordinarily. This implies an unveiling, consistent with the miraculous virgin birth. Yeshuawas the fulfillment of the prophets. “The next day John saw Y'shua coming toward him and said, ‘Behold! The Lamb of Yah who takes away the sins of man!” (John 1:29).

Salvation is Through Faith, Not Works. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and to know that it is not of yourselves; Yahoshua is the gift of YHVH.” (Ephesians 2:8).

3. Salvation Foreshadowed in the book Wisdom; “The righteous live forever, their reward is with YHVH…
Having been disciplined a little, they will receive great rewards, because YHVH tested them and found them worthy of Himself.” (Wisdom of Solomon 3:1–5)

Here, salvation is eternal life and refinement through suffering, both of which come through YHVH’s righteousness. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is
the kingdom of Shamayin… Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in shamayim.” (Matthew 5:10–12) The righteous suffer in this life but are promised eternal reward and shalom. exactly as it is written in (Wisdom 3).

“If we suffer with Y'shua, we will also be glorified with Him. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:17–18).

Temporary trials lead to eternal glory for the righteous. “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us for a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” (2 Corinthians 4:17). Refinement through suffering produces a glorious eternal result, matching in the (Book of Wisdom 3:5).

“For whom YHVH loves disciplines... No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and shalom for those who have been trained by it.” (Hebrews 12:6-11.) Wisdom says YHVH tests the righteous and rewards them. In the book of Hebrews, it confirms it as love and refinement.

“Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience… Blessed is the man who endures his testings; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life.” (James 1:2–4, 12). A perfect match righteous are tested and rewarded with eternal life. “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” (Revelation 2:10). Even in death, the righteous live just as it is written in the Book of Wisdom.

“Turn to YHVH and forsake your selfish desires… Who will praise Elyon in Sheol? Instead of the living who give thanks?” (Sirach 17:25–27) YHVHH calls us toteshuvah (תְּשׁוּבָה) and shows that salvation is for the living, who turn back to YHVH's commandments, through His son Y'shua. Salvation in (2 Esdras (4 Ezra). Salvation and the Coming Messiah.

“For My Son the Messiah shall be revealed... And the earth shall give up those who sleep in it... and the world shall be turned into the old silence seven days, like as in the former judgments... and afterward shall the nations be raised again.” (2 Esdras 7:28–32).

YHVH promises a future resurrection and a reign of His Anointed One, His Son Y'shua, before final judgment. He answered me and said, “Listen, Baruch, and let these words be written deep within your heart. For in that day, adamah(the earth) will surely give back the dead it now holds, returning them just as it received them. There will be no alteration in their form; each person will rise exactly as they were laid down. As I once delivered them into Sheol, so I will also raise them again.

And this will happen to demonstrate clearly to the living that the dead have truly come back to life. Those who departed in righteousness will rise again as a witness and testimony to fallen mankind. When the living recognize their loved ones and the righteous who have returned, judgment will be strengthened, and the words previously spoken by the prophets will be fulfilled.” (2 Baruch 50:1–4).

“Y'shua will raise the dead among them, and make them sit on the throne of glory... For they who will see the realm which is now invisible to them, and they will behold the time which is now hidden from
them.” (2 Baruch 50:2-4). "All the faithful who had died from the beginning... Abraham, Isaac,
Jacob, the patriarchs, the prophets, and others came out of the graves after Yahoshua’s resurrection.”
(Gospel of Nicodemus, Part II, Chapter 17-18).

Expands on (Matthew 27:52 53) A powerful detail of the righteous dead proclaiming salvation, freed from Sheol by Y’shua’s descent and resurrection. “Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two... and adamah quaked... and many bodies of the faithful who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.” (Matthew 27:51–53)

This is a direct fulfillment of (2 Esdras and 2 Baruch); Yahoshua is revealed as Messiah, the righteous dead rise, and the resurrection occurs before the final judgment. “But now Messiah is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep… each in his own order. Messiah, the firstfruits, afterward those who are in Yahoshua at His coming.”

(1Corinthians 15:20-23). ️Resurrection is the firstfruits just as the wave sheaf offering (Leviticus 23:9-14) was lifted on the day after the Sabbath (Firstfruits), Y’shua rose on the Feast of Firstfruits, and others rose with Him a foretaste of the resurrection harvest.

“Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection. Over such, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of YHVH and of His Salvation, and will reign with Y'shua a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:5–6). This matches vision in (2 Esdras 7) and (2 Baruch 50), a first resurrection of the righteous, who are blessed, glorified, and reign with Messiah Y'shua.

5. Salvation in (2 Baruch Judgment and Deliverance. “Nevertheless, know that Elyon has looked upon your righteousness, and He will remember you.” (2 Baruch 14:12–13). YHVH sees the righteous remnant and will deliver them. This anticipates the final redemption through Messiah Y'shua. The Revealing of the Anointed One, “And it will come to pass when the time of the appearance of the Anointed One
has been fulfilled... He will sit in judgment and deliver the remnant.” (2 Baruch 29–30). A clear reference to the Messianic figure bringing justice, resurrection, and restoration. As Mashiach in the second coming. (Zechariah 6:11-13).

6. Embrace Teshuvah for the sake of our Salvation. “There is no other name under the firmament given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12). YHVH has made known His salvation Yahoshua (יְשׁוּעָתוֹ); His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of all the nations.” (Psalm 98:2), “Y'shua is despised and rejected… yet He bore our iniquities… and by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:3–5). Y'shua is not merely a man or prophet. He is YHVH's Wordmade flesh, the Lamb without blemish, the firstborn from the dead, and he will retrun as a Mashaich, the King of kings.

7. How to Walk In Salvation...

  1. Repent: Reviving the gift of Teshuvah is to turn from our selfish ways the evil of man, which we call sin, and return to YHVH (Isaiah 55:6–7); (Acts 2:38).
  2. Believe: Y'shua is the Messiah and Son of YHVH (John 3:16-17). We need to follow and walk in obedience to YHVH's commandments, follow His moedim in remembrance of what Y'shua had done and what he is about to do, follow the guidance of the Ruach HaKadosh (John 14:15); (Romans 8:1),(John 14:15) (1 John 5:3), (Deuteronomy 28), (Deuteronomy 30:16-20)
  3. Endure: Remain faithful to YHVH to the end of your days (Matthew 24:13).
  4. Love your Neighbors: To love your neighbor, you must learn to love yourself less. Treat others as you desire to be treated, for this is the heart of the Torah. Extend your hand in mercy, not with a fist of hate, for in this you reflect the compassion of YHVH. This beautiful teaching emphasizes humility and generosity as the foundation for true neighborly love, encouraging us to shift from a self-centered mindset (“I like being loved”) to a loving one (“I like loving”).
